Weymouth & Portland were the visitors to Bestwall in the latest Southern Counties league fixture.

Swans started in their usual way by giving away a penalty virtually from the kick off This put the visitors on top and in the first fifteen minutes Swans gave away six further penalties which meant that Weymouth were  in the Swans half for all of this time. Finally a penalty in front of the posts had the visitors going into a 3pt lead.  From the restart Swans moved into the Weymouth 22 and  as Weymouth tried to kick clear, the ball was charged down by Swans, and wing forward Jack Jenner pounced on the ball over the try line. Fly half Jamie Foskett added the conversion (7pts – 3pts). Swans continued to give away more penalties and after 25 minutes the visitors managed a catch/drive move to score a try in the corner. For a change Weymouth gave away a couple of penalties, but Foskett missed with an attempt at goal. In the next ten minutes Swans gave away 3 more penalties, and from a tap Weymouth forced their way over the try line. This was converted(7pts – 15pts). With two minutes to go Swans had a penalty which they put into the visitors 5 metres line and debutant winger Lewis Reeves went in at the corner. Half Time score Swanage & Wareham 12pts Weymouth & Portland 15pts.

The second half started by Weymouth giving away a couple of penalties and Swans advanced into the visitors 22 and from a line out the ball was passed to Jack Jenner who powered over the line for his second try out wide.(17pts – 15pts). Swans were now putting the ball through the three quarters and were looking more like a team, but both sides were committing offences so the penalty count increased. On 60 minutes Swans had a penalty close to the posts which Foskett converted bringing Swans score to 20pts. 6 minutes later Swans had a move by the backs which had centre Tom Munns breaking clear and scoring out wide.(25pts -15pts). Swans were on top now as Weymouth ran out steam, and after 72 minutes from a scrum the ball was moved all along Swans backs to winger Olly Dillon who went in by the corner flag bringing Swans to 30pts. With 3 minutes left an identical move had Olly Dillon going in for his second try. This time Jamie Foskett added the extras bringing the score  37pts – 15pts.
