A Special Mention to Our Very Own Matt Roberts!
PC Matthew Roberts, one of our own at Swanage & Wareham RFC, for his incredible bravery and life-saving actions.
Matt, alongside PC Lily Edgar, was awarded the prestigious Resuscitation Certificate from the Royal Humane Society at the Dorset Police Awards Ceremony. The pair responded to an emergency where a two-year-old child was in cardiac arrest. Acting swiftly, they took over CPR before paramedics arrived, successfully reviving the child.
A true hero on and off the pitch! We couldn’t be prouder of Matt and Lily for their outstanding dedication to protecting our community.

Congratulations to Steve Waterman! We’re incredibly proud to announce that Steve Waterman has been selected for the England Deaf Rugby squad to take on Wales this Saturday, March 16th!The match will be held at Newbridge RFC, with kick-off at 15:00. While the game unfortunately won’t be streamed, we’ll be supporting Steve from afar and can’t wait to hear all about it!This is a fantastic achievement, and we’re thrilled to see Steve representing both England Deaf Rugby and Swanage & Wareham RFC on the international stage.Best of luck, Steve – we know you’ll give it your all
